Pizzalley's receives national acclaim
A local favorite was recently recognized for its high-quality food and superior service by one of the food industry's most-respected organizations.
Pizzalley's Chianti Room received the National Award of Excellence from the American Culinary Federation in July. It's one of only 20 restaurants across the country that was selected.
"Chianti Room is a mom-and-pop restaurant and laid back, so to get that national recognition is something we've really cherished," said Tom Sheltra, owner of Pizzalley's Chianti Room on Charlotte Street. "It's really invigorated our staff and given them a profound pat on the back."
The Chianti Room is a full-service Italian restaurant that also serves hand-cut steaks and fresh, seasonal fish. The proteins are never frozen, and dishes are made to order.
